From visionary filmmaker Spike Lee comes the incredible true story of an American hero. In the early 1970s, Ron Stallworth (John David Washington) becomes the first African-American detective in the Colorado Springs Police Department. Determined to make a difference, he bravely sets out on a dangerous mission: infiltrate and expose the Ku Klux Klan. He recruits a seasoned colleague, Flip Zimmerman (Adam Driver), into the undercover investigation. Together, they team up to take down the extremist organization aiming to garner mainstream appeal. Produced by the team behind the Academy Award®–winning Get Out, BlacKkKlansman offers an unflinching, true-life examination of race relations in 1970s America that is just as relevant in today's tumultuous world.

  • Solid Movie

The movie is polarizing in nature but technically sound and has a well developed flow.
  • It's a good movie.

This is a good movie. Not a GREAT movie, but a good movie. It reminds me of how racism is still relevant in 2018, particulary with the rise of Donald Trump and his slack-jawed followers. Ameerica is every bit as racist as it was back in the '50s and '60s, it is just as overt and in-your-face as it was back then. Sadly, most white people would not recognize racism even it slapped them in the face, and I am white myself. Do not believe the negative reviews because most of them are from racist internet trolls. Every time a movie comes out about racism in America like BlacKkKlansman or the HATE U GIVE, these people crawl out of their caves and complain about how "terrible" these films are. Don't believe them. They are every bit as good as people say they are.

    Stop falling for their bullish!t
  • Drawn out too long

Might have worked okay as a 3 minute skit, but watching this idea as a full-length movie was torture.
  • Um, this is not a paid review.....omg outstanding.

My personal opinion. Everyone needs to see this movie. Even if the 70’s theme isn’t “your thing,” it still goes without saying you will still learn something from this. Best film to come out in awhile. Teaches something. Learn it. Live it.
  • Phenomenal!

Such a steamy pile. This movie fails to be what it is supposed to be, a movie. It is a propaganda film, masquerading as a blockbuster. The PR team is smart not to tell the audience what this movie is. Had they been upfront with the trailers, nobody would see it. What is sad, is that it was poorly executed, he played into stereotypes, tropes, & nonsense. The movie had no point, or just one point —racism. It tried to be artsy at certain points but the execution of those scenes came off awkward. It’s like you could tell Lee thought he was really making a good film, like he was going for an Oscar. Pathetic. Rotten tomatoes & movie reviews are an absolute joke. How can we get unbiased reviews when it appears most critics think with the same SJW brain? I want my money back.

Truly a work of art. I watched this knowing absolutely nothing about it and am appalled I have never heard this story. And love lee’a direction and how he really drives home and correlates the same things happening today
  • Loved This Movie!

This movie was great to watch. It is a movies well made and directed. It is sad to see the reacist comments among the reviews here. There are even some stating that they will not watch do those reviews get here? Only validated viewing should be allowed to post, instead of those racists simply trying to ruin the ratings. To those who are serious about entertainment, this movie will not disappoint. It is good from start to end, and will keep you interested in the characters as well as the plot line.
  • Fantastic horror/comedy

Does a great job at showing arguments for and against the Klan, but still acknowledges evil for what it is. This movie really struck a chord with me. This is a really important movie for every American to see.
